This defines our resolve, commitment and how we approach every aspect our program.

Due to the critical nature of the DPS Program, Guardian Tactical offers, and recommends, the GT Active Shooter System Platform (ASSP) for the appointed representatives of the Schools and Districts.  Our course of training requires the completion of four (4); 9-hour training sessions at the range, 36 hours in all.  GT ASSP picks up where the DPS School Safety Program ends and is a Paid Elective Program available to Schools, Districts or Charter Schools who sponsor the training. The cost per student is $800.00.

To begin, each student will be thoroughly evaluated on their individual skill level and corrections will be implemented in place.  Areas of concentration are: 

• Safety
• Firearm Manipulation
• Malfunctions / Failures
• Grip
• Breathing
• Sight Alignment
• Trigger Control
• Follow Through
• Marksmanship
• Live Fire Assessment

Following the initial assessment, the student will continue their training in our Active Shooter Systems Platform (ASSP). This segment immerses your candidates in tactical, real-life scenarios. Critical aspects of the DPS Course are reinforced as we move forward.   

We constantly evaluate our student’s progress. Our students evaluate their instructors. Both sets of reports are useful tools and are available upon request to their Schools and Districts. 

Guardian Tactical will provide additional services below as an addendum on a no cost basis to our Schools and Districts as a public service. The presentation of these services is not endorsed nor approved by DPS as part of their program. They are offered completely independent of the DPS School Safety Certification Course.

• Co-ordination with Law Enforcement and Resource Officers 

The objective of our training is to deliver more highly trained personnel to your Schools and Districts. This reduces the levels of potential liability exponentially, but most importantly it is designed to save lives.
